Welcome To Kiriaini Mission Hospital

Kiria-ini Mission Hospital is owned and managed by the Catholic Diocese of Murang’a. It was started by the Consolata sisters in 1955 as a small dispensary then developed to a maternity wing and later to a general hospital with a capacity of 72 beds. Since inception, the Hospital has grown over the years and currently has an official Government approved bed capacity of 100 distributed in the following wards;

  1. Obstetrics & Gynaecology Ward
  2. peadiatrics Ward
  3. Medical Ward
  4. ICU & HDU Ward
  5. New Born Unit
It is situated in Mathioya sub-County, Murang’a County. The Hospital is located at Kiria-ini Market and connected to three tarmac roads heading to Murang’a, Kangema and Nyeri respectively. The nearest main hospitals include;
  1. Othaya District Hospital
  2. Kenyatta National Hospital Othaya Level 6
  3. Murang’a District Hospital
As the facility is a Mission Hospital it's priviliged to have Sisters from the congregation of Assisi Sisters of Mary Immaculate from india Working Hand in hand in the governing of the facility in various departments.

Executive Management

Being a Catholic Faith Based Healthcare facility; the hospital is directly under the office of the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Murang’a. Consequently, the Bishop, Rt. Rev. James Maria Wainaina has appointed men and women of integrity to help the Catholic Diocese of Murang’a to spearhead management of the Hospital.
